I don't partake in the festivities of Halloween... which has it's origins... an ancient pagan Irish holiday... but I certainly would love to sink my teeth into these....Halloween themed... Krispy Kreme doughnuts...

Thin strips of smooth... silky... ipoh hor fun... cooked just right... not too soft... in a yummy chicken/prawn broth... with prawns... shredded chicken breast... lots of bean sprouts and chives... luv it...

It's not to heavy a meal... yet filling... the perfect afternoon energy boost...

Miss.. miss... miss...

Can't wait to make a trip into JB... PappaRich... just for it...

I am always ready to try any new items... with the exception of beef products... since I don't take beef... that McDonald's launches...

Butterscotch Flavour Burst... ice cream cone... is one of the newer creation... available only at McDonald's dessert kiosks...

Yes... it's been out for while but being not a fan of ice cream... Surprised? ... I didn't 'made an effort' to check it out...

Till today...

I had the sudden craving for soft serve ice cream...

I must admit... It's yummilicious...

The ever popular Mac's ice cream cone is now made even yummier with swirls of gooey... sweet... golden brown butterscotch...

For a limited period only... go check it out...

At just S$0.80... it's a treat everyone can afford... unless you are on a diet... than stay away... it's highly addictive...

My Shopping Conquest from Typo... Forest/Woodlands Pencil Case/Pouch

Typo in Wisma Atria... is a one stop concept stationary store... taking cue and inspirations from the latest fashion trends and applying them it into their products... notebooks and stationary... decal wall art... gift wrap and speciality items...

Typo is one of the subsidiaries of the popular Aussie brand... Cotton On...

I love small forest/woodlands animals... rabbits... squirrels... and especially foxes...

Which is why I just couldn't resist laying my paws on this forest/woodlands themed pencil case/pouch from Typo...

Made of sturdy canvas... with a shiny typo enscribed sliver disc as zipper pull... the case/pouch is printed with a forest/woodlands background and features... a deer... an owl... robins... rabbit...

and my fave... a little brown fox!!!

I luv that the pouch is lined... with a whimsical mushroom print... Toadstools never looked this good...

At S$11.95... it's a tad expensive... but it's a... I need a little treat kind of a steal...

 

My Shopping Conquests... Magazines with GWP...Simply Her... Elle Singapore

I picked up 2 local magazines today... Simply Her & Elle Singapore... both came bundled with very nice GWPs...

Simply Her... November 2011... has a faux leather clutch GWP... There are 3 colors to choose from... Black... Nude... Turquoise...

I would have preferred the turquoise but got the black instead... because it is the only one made from textured faux leather... which gives it a more 'expensive' look...

But I must admit... the turquoise is very very pretty... almost Tiffany Blue in color... which BTW is called egg shell blue...

The overall quality is just average... as the faux leather material is very thin... it doesn't keep it's shape well...

Local magazines hardly have any GWPs... compared to their... Japanese... Hong Kong... Taiwanese... counterparts... If they do... it's usually some generic items...like the clutch mention above... or samples... almost never any designer items...

Elle Singapore... November 2011 comes bundled with a... drum roll... Agnes b. Bag Organiser!!!

Made of a stiff polyester... in choice of tomato red or black... with Agnes b. signature stars and b. insignia printed all over...

I must say... I am impressed...

The GWP... besides being an Agnes b. item... is VERY well made... the seams and sewing are neat and tight... the prints vibrant... it's interior is coated... which helps makes it waterproof...

It 'spacious'... with 4 side pockets... Best of all... retains it's shape very well... Don't try to pull the drawstrings on the side though... it's just for 'look' I think...

Hurry and grab a copy... I am sure it's flying off the shelves as I am typing this...

My Shopping Conquests from Uniqlo... Heattech Tee

Uniqlo Heattech is developed jointly with fabric manufacturer Toray Industries...

Heattech line features a fabric that works almost like a piece of technology... It has seven particular features... anti-bacterial, anti odor, anti-static and moisturizing properties... stretchable and quick dry... that go along with its ability to absorb moisture from the body to release heat... heat retention...  

The best part is... the fabric is extraordinarily thin...which means... I can stay warm without having to bulk up with multiple layers of heavy padding. Definitely a plus point for me... who don't want to look fat... ha ha ha...

I have been eyeing these ever since my trip to tokyo... year end... has been confirmed...

I got myself the V neck long sleeve tee in dark grey and beige... to go along with my color scheme for the trip...

All Uniqlo Heattech tops... are currently on sale... S$19.90... usual S$24.90... But note that Uniqlo considers them as inner wear so they are non-exchangeable...

My Shopping Conquest from H&M... Fox Coin Pouch

While waiting for JW to finish work... I popped into H&M...

The crowd has finally eased... the queue to get in is gone...

But...

The store was still pretty crowded for a weekday evening with long lines at the cashiers and dressing room... on all 3 levels...

H&M rotates their merchandise almost every day... adding in new pieces here and there...

But... nothing really caught my eyes except this...

I just couldn't resist this cute little coin pouch... with it nautical color scheme... bright red zipper... oh so cute... over sized leather applique... of a... brown fox with bushy tail...

I heart foxes... so much so... I queued a good 20 minutes just to pay for this one item...

It is the perfect pouch in which to store my biscuit camera...

How cute is that... Luv luv luv it...

At just S$12.90... It's a fox trot steal...

My Collection of... Childhood Toys... Strawberry Shortcake & Friends

In celebration of my 100th entry...

Smurfs were for boys and Strawberry Shortcake were for girls... But I was no ordinary boy...

I remember coming home and finding this lovely parcel on our dinning table... my parents had just returned from a trip... but was not allowed to open the present until I had my lunch... I was so excited that I choked on a fish bone... drama...

The smell... oh the lovely smell of strawberries... blueberries... raspberries... lemons... Oh I luv their smell...

As a kid... these were my favourite play toys... Smurfs were for display but Strawberry Shortcake and friends were meant to be played with...

See how 'loved' they were... many had faded over the years... complete with 'scuff' marks...

Years of being 'kept' together has kind of 'mel' their smells together... but surprisingly... they still retained a sweet smell...

Strawberry Shortcake and friends were created by American Greetings... a greeting card company... but the characters soon became a fad with children in the early 80's as toys... because of their... wonderful smell... fragrances were mixed in with the vinyl to create different smells of berries and fruits... each distinct character had the smell of their namesake...
