There were only a few times I ever paid full retail for designer items... it was so I could get my hands on the Club 21 card...

Among the many privileges... besides... clocking points on purchases... which can than be exchanged for vouchers...

The privilege that I wanted to enjoy most is the one for this event...

In this case... a gift from my sister... JC... from her trip to Macau...

Pineapple Tarts... which is kinda strange since I have never hear of Macau for being known for pineapple tarts... albeit Portuguese Pineapple tarts...

The packaging is of course lovely...

But the taste was just mediocre... especially when compared to the recent Taiwan pineapple pie and my fave... Seasons pineapple tarts...The pastry skin was thin but bland... the pineapple filling not too coy but dry...

It was sweet of JC to get them for me... I luv pineapple tarts... but in this case...

Maybe JC should have just stuck with the traditional almond biscuits...

Flying Heart Sliver Shoes...

The Flying Heart was designed by Ms Agnes herself for the opening of their Taiwan Flagship store... about 2 years back... a whole collection of clothes and accessories were created using the Flying Heart motif...

I luv shoes... especially a pair that makes a statement... this came perfect as my previous sliver Onitsuka Tigers are getting worn out and desperately needs to retire... 

The best part was...

IT WAS THE ONE AND ONLY PAIR AND IN MY SIZE!!!!!!!!

Of course I had to grab some of the accessories... I heart Agnes b. accessories... they are well made... and stays tarnish free...

I have been drooling over this Mr Marc iphone case ever since I lay eyes on it...

But missed getting it and it became sold out... so imagine my excitement when I chance upon it again on Shopbop and promptly bought it...

Rumours has it that this might possibly be the last time Mr Marc Jacobs will be collaborating with Will Broome for Mr Marc/Miss Marc designs... which I hope is not true because... these characters have become symbolic icons for MBMJ and would be missed by many... myself included...

Marc By Marc Jacobs Rubber Turnlock Bracelet...

Made of silicon rubber... in neon hues of fluoro pink ( fuchsia)... amethyst (purple)... shock red (deep orange)... bright grass (green)... Iris (Navy Blue) and Black... and each comes with a small turnlock charm in either silver, gunmetal or gold...

I first saw these at the MBMJ store at Isetan where i bought one immediately as a gift for Sista CT's upcoming birthday...

So when I saw Shopbop offering these at a better price... I just couldn't resist...

I got both the the black with silver charm... and the Iris with gunmetal... simply because I couldn't decide on one...

Finally got my hands on... thru dearest friends that travelled... Marc by Marc Jacobs London Store Special Items...

Big thanks and hugs to RG and KW... for helping me to shop at the MBMJ store in London... as well as... helping me lugged back my mini haul...

I had to restrain myself from buying everything in the store... and decided on some items that I have been drooling over...

RG... who is on his romantic... much anticipated... trip in London... to visit KW... whom we have not seen in a few months... both were sweet and generous enough... to find time to whatsapp me from the MBMJ store in London... which carries a small range of Special Items... to give me a chance to shop virtual... and help pick up some stuff for me... Sweet yah???

Price is relatively just a few dollars more than what I would pay for if I were to get them in New York... but considering the exorbitant price of shipping... the UK price is comparable indeed...

This roomy tote... features 'M' banding at the front and back. Stenciled logo lettering at front... leather logo patch at back. Tonal double handles... velcro and leather closure... with a huge interior zip pocket...

Of course... I would have been able to save even more... if I had bought these online... but I felt it was time for me to get my very own Club 21 card...

My Shopping Conquest... Smart Magazine GWP... Head Porter Plus Wallet

Head Porter Plus is the apparel arm of Head Porter... Head Porter is... of course... the infamous collaboration between designer Hiroshi Fujiwara and Porter by Yoshida Kaban bags...

While in Japan ... I was drooling over not just the Porter but the Head Porter bags... Yes it is cheaper to get them there but they still cost an arm and leg... Then there are the street chic coats and apparel of Head Porter Plus... Double drool...

So I have been eagerly awaiting for May issue of Smart magazine... in particular its GWP... Head Porter Plus item...

This is not the first time Head Porter Plus has collaborated with a magazine for a GWP... there have been many other magazine Head Porter Plus items... like pouches and pouches and more pouches... ethere was once a  Swiss army knife... all of which I don't particularly care for or need...

But this time round... it is a wallet... a zipped around wallet... This I heart...

Made of black vinyl... with embossed stars and Head Porter Plus label... the zipped around wallet has lots of compartments for cash... cards and coins...

Kinokuniya still have lots of stock....

One of the best find JW and I stumbled upon... in good old heartland... Ang Mo Kio...

OnT Thai Authentic Restaurant...

More of a cafe... only about 5 or 6 tables... than a restaurant... OnT Thai features a pretty wide range of Thai dishes...

Authentic.... in taste... is subjective...

Never as yummy as those in BKK... Nonetheless... JW and I both enjoyed the Tom Yam Seafood Clear Soup... Green curry with lots of chicken dark meat... and Red Ruby dessert...

The otah was a little too soft for our liking and the seafood pancake lacklustre...

But still worth a visit when craving for Thai while in AMK...

The other find was this little known bakery...

Ban Hoe Hong Bakery...

Their cream puffs are probably as yummy... if not more... as Bread Papa's...

Creamy custard jammed packed in soft buttery tasting puff skins... sprinkled with powdered sugar... for a mere S$1.00!!!

In fact... it was so yummy... JW and I went back the following day to get some more for the family...

As well as their... S$1.00 each.. peach custard tart and eclairs... which turns out to be just average...

Conclusion... stick to the custard puffs...
