I was in the bathroom when JW chimed out...
"Dear... did you know there is a bird in our room?..."
I came out to see the little... peridot green, soft grey on heart with hints of yellow, black & white... gorgeous... sparrow like bird perched on our window grill...
I of course grabbed my camera... JW was lying in bed... totally amused...
As I gingerly maneuvered my camera in... afraid that the little bird... which I have named... Peridot... would fly off...
But Peridot... did not... it was like Peridot was waiting for me to take the shots before flying INTO our room and landing on top of our wardrobe... resting???
Of course the camera clicked away... I had made sure my flash was off... I wouldn't want to blind Peridot...
This point both JW & I... was totally enchanted by this whole scenario... sat on our bed and chatted... all this while watching Peridot
"How did it flew up here?"... "might be domesticated... look... not afraid of us...."
Which was true... cuz Peridot took flight and 'sat'on my newly acquired jewelry case among my bracelets... as if waiting for a close up...
Peridot flew towards the window and once again perched on the grill... we he/she was flying off???
Peridot... I think... changed his/her mind when he/she felt the strong wind... we are on the 20th floor... flew back in...
more posing ensued...
Change of set... on my vintage 60's straw basket... which I use to keep my scarves... lots of close ups here... Peridot was posing for the pics... How modale!!!
as Tyra would say... "Here's your best shot..." |
On my lap... on my printer...
How cute is that???
Peridot was a true "supermodel" and totally 'stayed still' for each shot with different poses...
All this while JW was just chuckling away...
"Nice shot... Quickly... there... It's waiting... quick quick... Nice!!!"
Suddenly Peridot flew towards us and circled around the room... We ducked and scrammed... we were worry Peridot might collide into us and get injured... I wonder how Snow White did it???... ha ha ha..
The curtains stopped flapping... we and Peridot knew it was time... but not before this 'classic' shot... Out Peridot flew...
"Good bye Peridot... Come visit us again soon..."
